The bid is backed by 3 players including The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), His Excellency Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan and the Automobile Touring Club UAE (ATCUAE) who is the national authority for motorsports in the UAE. All 3 are confident in their bid to present their event to the FIA as the middle east is quickly becoming a motorsport icon and can also provide a unique rally challenge in terms of terrain and environmental factors. They also believe that they are up to the challenge of hosting such a large event along with their other undertakings as the feel they are well experienced with autosport events along with plenty of perseverance to present a world worthy event.
